NeXST(Next Xight Screening Test)
-(Cardiac Safety Service)

Introduction to NeXST Services

NEXEL is a biotechnology company that develops and provides functional cells and safety evaluation platforms based on human iPSCs. In the NeXST program, the flagship service is the cardiac safety service, which evaluates the cardiac safety of drugs across multiple parameters using hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes. By comprehensively analyzing electrophysiology, beating, contractility, and viability data, we support safety evaluations in an environment that closely resembles that of the human body. NeXST enables the rapid and precise evaluation of cardiac safety risks for drug candidates at an early stage

Why NeXST?

Why hiPSC?
  • High physiological relevance to actual human cardiomyocytes
  • Capable of evaluating multiple ion channel responses
  • Integrated analysis of beating, contractility, and electrophysiology
  • Improved clinical predictability
NAMs-Based Advantages
  • Animal Models
    • Species differences
    • Limitations in human predictability
  • Cell Lines
    • Limited reflection of normal cell functions
    • Focus on single-function evaluation
  • NeXST
    • Human iPSC-CM
    • High reproducibility
    • High-throughput
    • Optional chronic effect
hERG Assay vs NeXST

Application Examples

FLT3 Inhibitor

A case where evaluating QT/FPD prolongation and proarrhythmic risk is important.

GLP-1 Receptor Agonist

A case demonstrating the importance of early screening for off-target cardiac liability.

NeXST supports the rapid and precise evaluation of cardiac safety risks for drug candidates at early stages.

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 We have acquired and continuously renewed the international standard for quality management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

ISO / IEC 17025

ISO/IEC 17025 Recognized as the international standard for evaluating the technical competence and quality management systems of testing and calibration laboratories. Test reports issued by NEXEL are recognized as having equivalent validity worldwide

International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use

ICH Participated in the domestic application of the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines. We are contributing to the revision of shortcomings in existing arrhythmia evaluations through the ICH E14 and S7B guidelines.

CiPA (The Comprehensive in Vitro Proarrhythmia Assay)

CiPA Participating as the sole domestic corporate member in the Comprehensive In Vitro Proarrhythmia Assay (CiPA) initiative, contributing to the revision and improvement of experimental methods

Beyond conventional boundaries,
we deliver a bold new paradigm.
